Improvement of Mechanical Means of MSW Collection and Transportation from Remote Settlements

Abstract. The paper deals with the issue of improving the efficiency of technology and means of mechanization of collection and transportation of municipal solid waste from the places of their dispersed formation. The analysis of modern methods of waste management in remote settlements, which found that the cost of transportation of waste prevail over other costs in their further processing or disposal. A method of retrofitting existing containers of the «Kubo» type with a pre-pressing mechanism is proposed by installing two hydraulic cylinders and a movable rear wall, which allows increasing the density of accumulated waste. The technology of collection and transportation of solid waste using a container equipped with a pre-pressing mechanism. Attention is paid to the dependence of the density of accumulated waste on the degree and number of cycles of their compression, when creating containers for collecting solid waste equipped with a pre-pressing mechanism, it is advisable to maximize the degree of compression of waste by increasing the stroke of the movable wall of the container. At the same time, the number of cycles of waste compression more than 4 times is not rational, there is a slight increase in the volume of accumulated waste.

Conceptual Provisions of Sustainable Development of Architecture of Buildings and Structures During Reconstruction

Abstract. Present day conditions of the development of architectural science require consideration of the fundamental issues in the field of complex reconstruction of buildings and structures of various functional purposes. The research identified the priority directions of the development of the architecture of buildings and structures in the cities of Donbas, undergoing reconstruction. The main provisions of the sustainable development of the architecture of buildings and constructions participating in reconstruction actions in the Donbas city territory are formulated. The decisive role of reconstruction of buildings and structures as a system algorithm for improvement, transformation and development of modern architecture in the cities of Donbas is established.

Influence of Hardening Conditions on the Properties of Cement-free Pressed Slag Concrete Based on Sodium Liquid Glass

Abstract. In the article it has been presented results of researches of properties of slag concretes on the basis of sodium silicate with a concentration 1 300 kg/m3 and silica module 2.9. It has been developed nonconcrete slag concretes of a moist molding on the basis of poorly studied crystalline martin, electro steel-smelting slag of the Donetskstal plant and converter slags of the Yenakiieve steel works with a compressive strength of 11…32 MP. It has been carried out the comparison with similar compositions on the basis of ground domain granulated slag. It has been determined mechanism of concreting of cinder concretes in standard conditions, in water, at steam curing and at steaming. The studied concrete describe by quick hardening in early terms.

Magnesium Refractory Concretes Based on Alkaline Binders with Enhanced Thermomechanical Properties

Abstract. Alkaline binders of periclase and spinel compounds based on aqueous solutions of sodium silicates have been developed. Refractory mineral materials have been proposed as fillers and structure-forming components; the physic mechanical properties of the magnesium binder stone during heating have been investigated. It has been established that hardening of binders on the basis of periclase, closed with liquid glass, occurs as a result of the formation of Mg(OH)2 and a gel-like sodium-magnesium hydrosilicate, which ensures the hydrability of the binder stone. At average temperatures of 600…900 °С, the structure of amorphized hardening products of binders is ordered, and fillers are involved in the process of pericrisalization, which previously remained inert. The properties of refractory concretes on periclase aggregates on a spinel bundle with the use of dredged technical alumina as a high-alumina additive are investigated. It was established that concretes on a periclase bond are characterized by a low thermal resistance, which can be increased by 1.5–2,0 times with the use of a spinel bundle.
